New tunes are killin!  Putting them down  in Nashville, Tennessee. This new project contains the most “Bill Wharton”esque music ever.  We really got it this time. We should be wrapped up in a couple of weeks.   I’ve been working with a long time friend and collaborator, David Davidson. He is producing the recording. We played together for a while, back in the 70s,  in The Wild Blue Yonders, which in its first incarnation was a classical/folk/blues amalgamation. He left Tallahassee to become the Concert Master for the Jacksonville Symphony. Then he moved to Nashville to become one of the most recorded violinists anywhere. Anyhow…I am stoked to the max over what we’ve done. David and I are joined by  Joe Murphy on Sousaphone. The whole proceedings have been recorded by Bobby Shin, an absolute genius of an engineer. Wait till y’all hear this.IMG_3458

Gary Zajac,  Friend of the Blues, passed away yesterday. There’s a big hole in Brevard County, and indeed the world. He called me yesterday to thank me, and we had some tears and a few laughs. That’s Gary…giving thanks to the very end.

Thank You, Mr. Z!
