Rollin, Rollin, Rollin!

In so many ways.
I’ve been catching my breath the last few months on the tour schedule, but I’ve been busy getting ready for the next chapter in the adventures of the Sauce Boss. First off, it’s a wrap on the recording of a new LP. Also at the same time, I’ve been working on a memoir, and it’s been a total gas. This thing is both tasty and nasty at the same time.  It’s the backstory of how and when I got to where I got to.  Believe me, it’s a saga.  Things are lining up without a lot of stress. This whole project of projects has a life of its own. The “legs” are walkin out the door.

Here’s the Summer Schedule:
LuLu’s in Gulf Shores and Destin. Then Tennessee, Charleston, Port Charlotte, Sanford, Pensacola Beach, Gainesville, North Carolina, Winnepeg Canada, Philadelphia, Grasonville MD, Long Island, and Bromont Canada. We are still adding dates so stay tuned to sauceboss.com.

Get Your Liquid Summer Here!

Datil Peppers!

Like mellower habaneros with a creeper burn coming up slow from the bottom, giving you a few seconds to taste everything in the dish before the warmth swells like a symphony in your mouth.

Sorrel and bean Soup
I planted some sorrel and I’m excited to have a perennial green that lasts into the summer. It’s kind of tart and spicy. If you do not have sorrel, you can substitute spinach. This soup is really packed with flavor and  it’s also super easy, and super healthy.
1 large onion chopped
6 cloves garlic minced
5 cups of broth
2 potatoes chopped
1 large carrot chopped
1 can of white beans
2 Tbs grated fresh turmeric (Turmeric is a great blood thinner among other things)
Salt to taste or a little Bragg’s Amino Acid if you’re watching your salt intake
2 Tbs Liquid Summer Hot Sauce (or more!)
2 cups chopped sorrel (or spinach)

Saute’ the onion and garlic or use a little of the broth if you want to avoid the fat. add everything except the sorrel. When the potatoes and carrots are done add the sorrel and cook for a minute or so.

Best Country Cooked Buffet I’ve had in a long time. The cornbread dressing is to die for. I read some reviews that the service is a bit slow on breakfast, but this buffet is served every day and it ROCKS!

Buuuurp!…Back To Work.
